Hmm... I knew I should have grabbed that Robotech RPG... then I'd have some
grounds to argue.

I'll just say that I can easily imagine a d20-based cinematic space opera like
Robotech, with little or no changes.  

The 'mech would be a piece of equipment, and imroved by spending resources,
while the "pilot" class would gain in skills used in the mech...
