First hand story I have on that issue is a fellow ( the source of the story - and usually a very reliable source ) had worked out an agreement with Jose over Nexus and was going to meet up at a con to sign the contracts and handover the check. Jose couldn't stop playing Shadowfist long enough to sign his name twice and take the money.
