I could have sworn that when I asked Ryan, he told me that alternate rules
about awarding XP were bad... (ie you could tell people that at 6000xp they
level, but you couldn't tell them how to get 6000xp).
So, I would probably hold off until we get clarification.

Actually, these are just fine. You cannot describe the EFFECTS of earning
experience (level advancement), but there is nothing wrong with XP awards.
