This is really hard to explain.  Basically, the scenario I mentioned in the 
previous post was just a way to illustrate my question about contracts.  I 
asked because I have to figure out a way to ensure that BWR can't get into 
legal trouble from the open nature of the work it will be publishing.  BWR ( 
and the people who serve it) cannot make a profit from its activities, but if 
we produce open content then a potential loophole is formed unless we prevent 
such an action prior to releasing the material as open content.  The only way 
we have come up with, thus far, is through the writer's contracts since we 
can't change the OGL and still have access to the SRD.

So, you are right it is really strange.  Not that a for-profit company would 
bother, but yes, they could profit from the work while the contributors can't.
