The license *only* covers the SRD (a document that's released online at www.wizards.com/d20) and derivitive works from that. For taking things from WotC's books, the safe rule is "if it's not in the SRD, you can't touch it." > I guess I am a little "confusled" about the license. That's a large problem for a lot of people. I was fairly alarmed when I first heard about the Open Gaming Movement--but now that I understand it, I really like it. I drafted a "howto" document, but I haven't had the time to get around and clean it up. Rather than clutter the list with some basic discussions, you might want to take a peek at it. http://www.castlesteelstone.com/OGL_HOWTO_DRAFT.html > Is there any way to post up a page showing some examples of published > works that are not following proper d20 gaming license regulations? Not really. Sure, it's feasable to start a review page and pass judgement on how well various products do for OGL / d20STL compliance, but even that would be no more than a third party's opinion to what is really a legal matter--and WotC is not likely to come off and divulge emarassing details like that if they can avoid it. If you're looking to make something yourself, I suggest that you hook up with an organization that's allready working on a d20 product. Either start freelancing, or speak with one of the fan-run organizations and play with the OGL there. DM P.S. The OGL_HOWTO_DRAFT is a real, honest draft, and not really ready for prime time. Please don't take it as anything more than the ramblings of some guy you met at a gaming store. :) DM _______________________________________________ Ogf-l mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.opengamingfoundation.org/mailman/listinfo/ogf-l
