Yes, this seems to be standard library practice. However,
it would be a good project to go beyond this and start
to document the history of publishers and imprints.
OpenLibrary could have been that project. Now it isn't.

In some instances, I have written articles in Wikipedia
about publishers or longer series of publications. For
Swedish publishers this is something I can get away with
in the Swedish language Wikipedia, but I can't promise
that you can do the same in the English Wikipedia.
