Jon, SlickEdit has a product named SE Core which is an Eclipse plugin,
that sells for US$100 and works very well. It is my editor of choice.
A free download with (I think) a 10-day license is available on their
website. It is such a productivity-enhancing tool that I have found the
payback period to be quite short. It is very highly configurable an it
will exit in a coder-friendly manner almost any file format imaginable,
except AutoCoder. I even use it to edit files on mainframes on my
workstation. It runs anywhere Eclipse runs, and fits in perfectly, even
to other plugin and feature environments. I think many of our
colleagues use it on their projects for ooRexx.

I have an Ubuntu guest on my XP laptop waiting for some purpose in life
beyond the occasional game of Mah Jong. Would that do for the build?
I don't have slick-edit, not could I imagine myself affording it, but I
am very very handy with Kedit which can match tags.

Jon,
You really need to build the docs on a Linux machine.
However, you can edit the doc on a Windows machine. I do that all the
time. Then I switch over to a Linux system and build the docs. When
you are first getting used to the mark up language, it is hard to
visualize your edits. Plus it is easy to get the tags goofed up.
Sometimes what I do, because I know I can fix it, is commit my changes
from my Windows box, and have the build machine build the docs. Then
see if I goofed up.
I use SlickEdit to do the text editing.
Are you up for that? I hope so, I'd love to get some help from you on
the ooDialog docs.
