Thoughts of note:

** There is distinct value in /not/ associating yourself directly with political activism. Keeping a project apolitical can have a lot of advantages in the long run. Notably you are not automatically co-opted into supporting future political statements.

I am a strong supporter of free software -- as proven by my code output -- but asking every contributor to buy into RMS's politics is a bit much.

** Naming discussions inevitably continue ad infinitum. Everybody has an opinion, different from the last. IMO you'll save yourself a lot of "rebranding" trouble if you stick with the [IMO well-chosen] existing names.

"RMS was the first key player to talk to me" isn't a great reason for rebranding, given the inevitable confusion rebranding causes.

** If you want to sell proprietary IP, GPL often gives you more control than X11/mit license.

** Also on the subject of branding: opengraphics.org should be the "brand" that users see. duskglow.com is nowhere near as good or memorable a name. Consider putting the Wiki and other stuff under that domain.
