I wouldn't do that. This is a decision that will cost
Traversal money and i doubt that the OHF board is qualified
enough to judge whether someone is enough of a contributor
to get a discount or not.

If you are not sure whether someone should receive a discount
you can always ask a few people in _private_ who you think
are qualified enough to judge someone.

I left out a detail. Traversal will give the OHF blocks of coupons
that they can assign to anyone. As it is financially appropriate,
we'll keep issuing them. So Traversal will make sure we can afford it
by limiting the total number of them, while the OHF can allot those
blocks in a democratically appropriate manner.

Do you like this better? Or do you have a better idea? Traversal is
appropriately faced with the fact that selling too many boards at the
dev price is not a sound business model, but we don't want to be
accused of playing favorites. Rather, it would be a good political
move to let the OHF decide, because being non-profit, peolpe are more
likely to perceive them as being impartial. The OHF is supposed to
represent the community... so let them. Mind you, we'll have some
suggestions, but the final decision will be up to the board of the
OHF. Also, Traversal reserves the right to give additional discounts
and gifts outside of this, where appropriate.
