Alain : Yes. Let's concentrate on the core shell then, when that is
done people will be able to develop a number of different applications
with it ... euuuhhh ... Third-Party developers you could say !

> Andr Spierings : Proposed Suggestions for Different OpenCard
> Applications.

Alain : Below is my personal review of the apps that you are
enumerating here.

> Andr Spierings : Wired sprite editor for QuickTime 3.0. Like
> LiveStage.

Alain : Hum-bug!

> Andr Spierings : Web development. A visual constructor for web
> content that can be programmed with xTalk and spits out Java, Java
> Script and HTML.

Alain : A definite winner !

> Andr Spierings : Multimedia application. Like HyperCard with stacks,
> cards and backgrounds.

Alain : Of course !

> Andr Spierings : RAD programming xTalk compiler. A set of programming
> tools that lets you develop fast in xTalk and compile applications. No
> sexy interface. Just a compiler, text editor and language set.

Alain : We should consider this one as the next group project, after
the interpreter, because it will accelerate everyone's work
(bootstrapping).

> Andr Spierings : The advantage of having these as separate

Alain : I couldn't agree more !

> Andr Spierings : The major disadvantage of having several projects is
> we don't really have enough programmers to spread over numerous
> applications.

Alain : We are approximately 30 members already ... membership is
growing fast ...

> Andr Spierings : I think we need a general xTalk interpreter as fast
> as we can get one.

Alain : The case you have made is a persuasive one.

> Andr Spierings : I want to get to work.

Alain : Excellent! I am a rather optimistic person to begin with, but
this collaboration is taking off even faster and better than I had
imagined.
