Harumph! How dare you talk that way about CompileIt =)! 
Actually, I agree that there is room for improvement in the syntax. The 
record fields are a bit of a hack IMO, and things like 
"[email protected][4]", although I became accustomed to it, aren't very 
xTalk-ish. Perhaps something like "boolean 4 of pointer myPointer" would do 
the trick? As for types, I'm wishy-washy about what more could be done. I 
don't think I want a heavily typed xTalk, and CompileIt! did let you 
influence what types were used internally. But maybe it should support better 
typing when you really want, say, a "float" that works like a float.
