Just to say I wasn't arguing.  I am saying it would help others if the
reason for a release is clear from the release so users (including new
ones) know in the following months what they can expect.

So a minor number change or a timestamp with a brief comment saying it's
time-based seems appropriate.

I would like to express surprise at the sudden announcement of a new
release and the short time stated.  Not meant as a vote for or against,
just to register how astonishing it was.
