I'm going to admit to being lazy and not having read the documentation you 
linked, but how well does this translate to being able to debug the e300 cores 
(83xx series)? I have a few of those I'd love to get running on open source 
tools, but last I asked around, it required a lot of proprietary information 
that then-Freescale (now NXP, soon to be Qualcomm?) wasn't willing to release.
