Nothing has "changed", the interfaces have been enhanced in a compatible way.

What kind of code review do you expect?

I am not sure whether these people will be able to do a code review for
67000 lines of code (1.6 MB) anytime soon.

This sounds funny!

Sun tar is tested against star to verify POSIX compliance. How do you like
to test star?
