SPARC is architecturally supportable. And the Dwarf bits will be built
on both platforms. A decision was made by the developer edition planning
team to not concentrate on SPARC for the developer edition releases at
this time, so we have not developed boot support, i.e a SPARC developer
edition boot flag for these releases. Along with this, the tools bits
are not included on the SPARC DVD at this time. This decision is based
on the fact that we would require multi-DVD install support if we added
the tools as we are running out of space on the SPARC DVD.

As for SPARC support for developer edition, at this time there is no
plan for this. This decision is left to the developer edition planning
team. However, with Caiman in general we do plan SPARC support in
particular when Caiman starts to replace more of the existing installer
paths.
