Try running these commands to see if there's an "iwi0" interface
present.

        pfexec ifconfig -a
        pfexec dladm show-link
        pfexec dladm scan-wifi

It's UNIX, and traces its lineage through both AT&T System V and BSD.
Linux is a completely different operating system originally written by
Linus Torvalds.  (There's a lot more historical information -- more
than you probably care to read -- on wikipedia.)

OpenSolaris already comes with the iwi driver for that card, so I
don't think that's the problem.  It's likely that there's a
configuration problem.

Good luck on that.  Unless you're scanning for viruses in Windows
files that you're storing on your OpenSolaris system, I don't think
such a thing reasonably exists.

UNIX isn't Windows.
