The problem is that it was advertised that SXDE would be produced every three 
months -- meaning that if you installed 2008/01, there would be 2008/04, 
2008/07, etc, following.  They did not say, "Install this and then get stranded 
because it's the last of it's kind".

It sounds like the only upgrade path is use SXCE builds which people attracted 
to SXDE didn't have any interest in to begin with.   Is Sun really not going to 
provide any installer / instructions to get from SXDE to openSolaris?  Are they 
expecting us to wipe the machine and start from scratch -- or just start using 
the SXCE builds?  The whole "big picture", roadmap, whatever you call it is not 
visible.  Where is this all going and what are the milestone goals?  It just 
like people are making it up as they go along and changing their minds every 6 
months for new direction.
