Shawn, this sounds promising. Just to be clear, will I be able to analyze and apply arbitrary updates while offline, or only well-known releases?
For instance, we use pca's proxy feature to cache our patches. So long as I have a reference xref handy, pca can do all of the needed analysis offline. If I already have all of the needed patches cached, then I don't need to go any farther than my proxy host. Once I've tested my golden update level, I want to repeat the same update process on more hosts, with a minimum of internet needed (or none if possible).
