Shawn, thanks for explaining. I think that we'll get to where we need to be for our enterprise build and recovery model. So much of what we do (especially patching) is a big work-around, if you step back and take a look at it.
This amount of change naturally makes an entrenched sysadmin like me a bit apprehensive. Even so, I freely admit there are many things about the current Solaris install and patch bits that I will gladly leave behind. =-) Towards that end, I'm glad that somebody, somewhere is throwing out the cruft and addressing those long-standing problems -- even if the solution is not optimized to fit into my comfort zone.
