We did agree that a change in the midst of an election was not ideal but I do feel strongly that anyone who is a valid candidate for a role should be allowed to run if that is their wish. I also feel that both running in an election whilst participating in the administration of the process is not a great idea.
The decision was Tony's to make and in the end, he did not inform me that he wished for me to take over for him, which I respect.
