Hi Shehzad I think stripping down the openvassd.conf that much is a bad idea. Values from openvasrc will overwrite values from openvassd.conf, but for some it is not allowed (e.g. logfile). You will not see an error in this case, but the value from the openvasrc will NOT be used.
I strongly suggest to use the original openvassd.conf, use a standard openvasrc as basis (e.g. /home/<user>/.openvasrc, and redo some tests to see if things then work as expected. I think you have to start the client in not-batch-mode once to generate the .openvasrc.
