Hi felix,
I did exactly what you said.
First, i tried running openvas client with default openvassd.conf file
but with same result.

Second, I run openvasclient GUI, took the .openvasrc file that was
generated by the client in the user's home folder  & used the same
file with 'quite' mode.

but did not help. I also tried  "auto_enable_new_plugins = no"
