I am using the openwrt-15.05-brcm2708-bcm2708-sdcard-vfat-ext4 image
on a RasPi 2 model and managed to get it working in "client" mode in
my home network, where the cable WiFi router is the "master" WiFi AP.
This client get it's IP parameters from the WiFi AP via DHCP.

I am using an USB dongle "Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL8188CUS
802.11n WLAN Adapter" for the radio/WLAN interface. Everything
seems to work OK for a while. I can ping the "master's" IP number,
Google's 8.8.8.8 and do DNS resolutions, "route -n" shows the routing
entries with the WiFi AP as the default gw etc. Other LAN clients
connected to this router can use it as their gateway and update the
Ubuntu packages.

However, after the unit has been up and running for a few hours, I
notice that the routing table only has the "local" network entries.
The default gw entry has disappeared but on the Luci (https) interface
everything seems to AOK. It shows the signal strength, the IP number,
the DNS entries from the AP etc. When this happens, the other nodes
connected on the LAN side do not have any access to the Internet
either.

I don't think the USB h/w is the problem. BTW, I have used this
hardware on other machines for extended periods of time and not seen
it barf.

The only way to restore traffic is to rescan and reconnect to the AP.

Has anyone else seen this behaviour with 15.05 on other hardware (USB
dongle or board)?

Thanks,
Arun Khan
