Visited the list today and saw a couple of responses to my question.

Indeed, power supply was one of the issue.  It was supposed to be a
premium quality (came with the RasPi kit from Amazon).
Nonethelsss, I got busy with other work and have not an opportunity to
try out another PSU.

Thanks for the heads up though.
