Here's the grand unified BSP plugin. It just does a quick check of the .bsp file's magic number and version and passes the rest of it off to the appropriate loader. Maybe someone will add Quake 2 support someday :-)
I've loaded Half-Life 2 and Quake 3 maps with it. The Quake 3 loader actually doesn't seem entirely finished to me, but I did make sure the files looked the same before and after I messed with the loader.
Don't forget to revert osgDB/Registry.cpp, as the alias is no longer needed. --"J"
