I believe it's not coming from the CMAKE_CXX_FLAGS in CMakeLists.txt (the 
emitted flags
are different) but from the generated CMakeFiles/CMakeCXXCompiler.cmake.

What's frustrating is that the git Xcode project is *also* emitting 
'-mmacosx-version-min'
*and* '-miphoneos-min-version' but is getting away with it. }:-{

So yes, my fix to remove the '-miphoneos-version-min' is clearly wrong and the 
actual
problem lies somewhere else.

At the moment I'm only trying to build for the simulator so this didn't affect 
me yet.
