Afraid not. There is the ChangeLog that lists every submissions, but this will contain many hundreds of changes so is probably not high level enough for what you are looking for. In general it should be quite easy to move from 2.4 to 2.8, and most cases should be little more than a recompile. There may be a few minor tweaks you'll need to make for certain classes as the API will have changes slightly. To find out the best thing to do is just dive in a try out 2.7.7, if there are build problems just email the list.
