This sound like but unfortunatly don't works. I've exported the variable (export OSG_OPTIMIZER="OFF") but the result is the same as above. Humm....There is some other way to control the optimizer behaviour in this cases? OSG is 2.8.3 version.
Not sure if you need the quotes or even if they make any difference... Other than that I'm not sure what to suggest so you'll probably need to debug yourself - try setting OSG_NOTIFY_LEVEL=DEBUG, or running osgconv in debug mode in gdb...
