Hi Nop, It is very exciting to find someone that has experience with the Blender->OSG process and has seen it work, because after two days of frustration, i still cannot. Especially i cannot get osgexport to export a texture, yet.

What exactly did you do to the stop sign model to make it work with osgexport? I changed from absolute path to relative path, using Blender's undocumented "//" notation for relative paths. I tried assigning the material to the object (OB) instead of mesh (ME). I tried using Texture Map Input of 'UV' instead of 'Orco'. I tried it with and without the 'Pack' image option. The osgexport .osg still has no texture at all. I have put the new version of stopsign.blend with these changes into http://vterrain.org/Implementation/ArtPath/BlenderTests.zip Can you make that model work, or can you send me your stopsign model that works? > 1/ prepare your Blender model (See joint jpeg for illustration) The only difference i can see in your screenshot is that you are using an older version of Blender (2.41, not the current 2.42). > a-Go to UV face mode, select faces. > b-Load image and apply. > c-Optional : you can pack the model to embed the texture in > the blend file. > d-Check the result in textured mode. I've found that the textures in Blender only show correctly in the rendered view. Is there some setting in Blender which will make them show up in the regular 3D view, like in your screenshot? > 2/ export your Blender model > > - osg export: Do you get the latest osgexport version (2.41) Yes, that's the one i can't make work. > - collada export: You can choose between relative and absolute path. With Collada, i can get the stop sign model to work, but if i create another model (from scratch) with a texture, the DAE file still has no texture at all. > 3/ import in OSG > > - osg export : textures are there Not for me :( > - collada export : no texture at all :( <- blender exporter / > osg importer need a fix ? You're probably just seeing the Collada-exporter bug that Greg Corson and i found, with the extra <color> element.
