Excellent - that will probably save a lot of work for many people.
It is one of purpouses to release it. There are much work done and a
much work to do. People should not reinvent the wheel.

Yes, I think so. Loïc maintains the forked (GPL) version of osgCal and
not the original LGPL one (which is, curiously, named osgCal2). For that
you need to contact Ruben Lopez who is maintaining it. He
is also on the osg-users mailing list.
