Peter's reply to RJ's comment is correct. The reason I like to see ALL the POIs (which to me IS a search result even though it is not implemented as one) is that I want to see, say, all the shelters, then I will pick one based on my position, knowledge of bike-ability of ways to get to them, direction I want to advance, and possibly other whims. I will then navigate to one of them. It might NOT be the closest. Picking just one on the list (the closest one) may NOT be the one I decide to go to.
Once I decide which one I want to go to, I can navigate there either by using the routing capability of OSMAND, or just using OSMAND as a map, or maybe just using the map "in my head". At some point I will want to declutter the map by removing all the POIs displayed (that I searched for). Ideally I would like to be able to do that by going back to "search" and clear the last search results (which in this case was ALL of the shelters) My complaint (minor as it is) is simply that I can populate the map with a bunch of POIs (great!) via Search, but cannot clear the POIs by returning to Search.
