Probably was OT's, but instead of having a dialogue on our site where
people know better, lets bring these concerns to a wider group of OT's.
Maybe you could do a survey of OT's in Florida and find out just how
many are actually doing functional activities.

Subject: [OTlist] Shoulder Arc

I evaluated a new patient today, actually the husband of a former
patient. He was just d/c from rehab. During the eval, he talked a
little about his rehab. He stated that some of what he did was a
"waste of time". He then provided two examples of what he considered
wasting his time:

1. The shoulder arc

2. Picking up cones

Granted, the above could have been either with a PT or OT, but I
suspect it was the rehab's OT doing the above 'exercises'.
