FWIW, I've had the same problem since going to owfs 2.6p1-3. I hate to just chime in with a 'me too', but at least Thomas knows he isnt alone :) I have a similar setup - going through a DS2409 coupler, all DS18S20-PAR read 85C. digitemp reads everything fine. This didn't seem to occur in 2.5p10.
Something else that's rather curious is the DS18B20 that is in my original V1 weather station reads fine. It's only the DS18S20's that have a problem, and apparently only the temperature conversion that fails (r/w temphigh/templow, trim values, etc.). Perhaps that's a clue. Another observation: I have a couple DS2438 that I can read VAD/VDD/humidity from if it's on the main network. If they are on a DS2409 I can't read those values. Exact same sensors worked under 2.5p10 and can be read under digitemp. I get the same behavior whether using a DS9097U serial adapter, or the DS9490r USB adapter. Hope this helps some.
