By the way, the problem is not hardware. It has to do with how the LCD
driver is timed. If the clock is too fast, you get the streaks.
StreakHack fixes it by resetting the timer. Possibly some other hacks
changes it again, which explains the return of the streaks until you once
again invoke StreakHack.
In any case, returning the unit won't help, because the problem is in the
software, and the software is the same.
Also, the Palm V displays look different because they are different
hardware. Comparing them to the IIIx displays is like comparing, well,
apples to oranges.
Anyway, I appreciate all the feedback on this issue. Hopefully now we can
put this thread to rest. (...I've got code to write!)
