Many of us prefer the email format. (Partly because of newsreader issues.)
As a kind of low priority background task, I've been searching around for
server software that would act as a gateway between a mailing list and a
news group.
That is, I want a little app for a list server that will post email
messages to a newsgroup, and another process that takes incoming news
articles and emails them to the list. It would have to be smart about
email addresses and subject lines, so that threads could still be followed.
It sounds very simple, but I haven't seen any easy way to set this up. It
could almost be a Perl script. Any pointers?
