Bob,

I've been transferring these mail lists to a newsgroup on an
internal-to-Tegic server since last August. I use a little Win32 program
that I wrote myself. Over time, the program has gotten pretty stable
with regard to the glitches in various message headers that the news
server (that runs under Linux) doesn't like.

For the other direction, though, I do it by hand. "Re: Mail" under
Netscape 3.x's news reader causes the mail list to be put into the "To:"
field. If I were to reply to the newsgroup, the reply would go no
further than 2 feet away from my keyboard where the old Linux system's
disk drive whines through the eons. :)
