  who is tossing the "goof-faith"? i have not signed an NDA with 3com.
  so i guess my actions of finding it in another means is the only 
  option i have as a developer.. 

  unfortunately.. i understand the NDA's exist primarialy to stop
  large corporations like Microsoft stealing code and ideas.. they
  are going to do it anyway.. just remember.. if you refuse an 
  NDA to someone.. they will find it using unofficial channels.

  but we are developers.. surely the legal standpoint can be 
  lowered! leave the NDA's for large corporations that pose a 
  threat to you.. the developers are they key to a platform.
  if you annoy enough of them.. there will be no developers and
  hence no platform.

  Java is open source.. why not make PalmOS? no NDA's required for
  Java.. and look where it is today..
