i saw it.. checked it out.. it aint on my harddrive no more..
whats the deal there? i was interested in seeing what it was
like for myself.. and i did.. it does not mean i am now distributing
it or using it to my advantage.

as a developer, i believe i have a right to know what is going
on with the platform i develop for. if i was to take stolen
property and keep it.. i would be doing something wrong, i agree
with you there.. the 3.5 roms are of no use to me right now..
  there are no devices out..

i own most of the Palm devices, so i just transfer the ROMS
via POSE (thankgod we dont need to sign an NDA for that!).
i dont use codewarrior.. so the debug roms offer little
  advantage..

however seeing i cannot get the "goodies" like everyone else.. i
find it myself - just so that i know what is going on with the
  platform i develop.

there are a number of issues relating to this. i have the
money for a stamp.. you know a fax costs more than a stampt
from international viewpoints.. i bet the NDA is a few pages
  long too.

    a) non agreement to the terms of the NDA
    b) foreign country dispites
    c) the delays

it is easy for you to say when you are in the USA so you dont feel
the delays and hassles that are involved for international
  developers.

it is never an issue of money.. many european developers could
not make it to PalmSource 99 because it would mean a big
reorganization of time scheduling. i wish i could say:

"hold on students.. i want to go to the USA for 12 days,
(travel restrictions etc) can you teach yourselves?"

for you it was probably a end of the week trip.. where you
went an enjoyed a few beers afterwards. add two days to
everything from europe.. with that in account.. we cannot
make it to the USA whenever we want..

i look forward to the Munich and London versions of PalmSource.
the europeans can plan for that.. lets hope the same stuff is
said there - but i doubt this will be the case.

does anyone know of the registration information for the
  europe PalmSource?
