  yeah.. its called 

    grep -i topic *.mail

  :)) i have nearly two years of palm-dev-forum mail :) unfortunately,
  for most newbies.. you dont have that *.mail file :P thats where 
  something like escribe / egroups comes into play.. you can search
  there too.
