  the most appropriate way to do this would be to say something like:

    RTFM - doc name, section XXX

  then, the person asking the question can go and look it up for
  themselves. there is no need to "slam" someone.. however, the best
  way to educate is not to give everything on a spoon.. learning
  is about being able to find the solutions for yourself too.
 
  some topics to come up, that you dont find a problem for after
  looking - it does happen.. so what? just ask.
