I've never had any problem (and nearly always find exactly what I need)
by searching at
http://www.escribe.com/computing/pcpqa/

I have had problems with egroups search, however; their search mechanism
usually just gets in my way. I definitely prefer escribe.

Reading the headers is a must, for sure! (I LOVE the cool undocumented
commands, slobber, drool!)

But when you finally DO have a question worthy of the forum, you're
supposed to check and see if there's been a discussion on the topic
already - and I've not found any good way to do this. Yes, the
knowledge base and the forum archives exist, but their search mechanisms
seem too poor to find anything.

How successful are others at finding things in the KB / archives?
