OK, I've at least norrowed the possibilities based on the Palm hardware
comparison matrix:
Here are all the devices Palm lists as being gray EZ Palms with OS 3.5.
Can anyone report if any of these refuses 4-bit mode?
Palm IIIxe ( (!) did some of these have 3.1?)
Some Palms Vx's
m100
Clie 5300 ( did some have OS 3.1?)
Some TRG Pros
Also, for the upgradable OS 3.1 devices, can some be upgraded all the
way to OS 3.5? And if so, would they report that 4-bit mode was
impossible?
