        Maxtor is no more, at least as a separate company. it is now just an 
imprint of Seagate and is no different than any other Seagate drive. 
Strangely I have used mostly Maxtor drives going back to the days of 
Minscribe and they always outlasted the other makes, so I guess it is 
the luck of the draw as to whether a drive is good or not.
