Western Digital has been my drive of choice for many years now. I've had one
Maxtor drive quit on me in another machine several years back. Fortunately,
that one I was using as a back-up so I didn't lose too much.

I remember many years ago, about twenty I think, a computer mag had an article
about which manufacturers hard-drives would work with one another (i.e.
Master/Slave). Seagate would only play nice with its own kind. WD had no
problems co-existing with others.

I sometimes see ads for Seagate drives on sale that make me want to give them a
try, but that article still comes back to stop me from doing it.

Question: Does Seagate deserve a chance?
