Hi Rick.
I for one just don't like the FORUM format.
I don't think it harms anyone or anything. Different strokes...
But I just don't like forums as much as I like lists. That dislike is
so great I don't want to register for any more of them. I have joined
dozens and dozens to get the one or two models on the site I wanted
and I am tired of all of them.
I know Claudio was once a little upset about my views on this. I hope
this is water under the bridge for us. I do not attack your efforts
or the or the efforts of others to run and maintain forums, but Forums
are too time consuming and cumbersome for my style and needs. But to
those who like them... more power to them. But what Cat says
strongly, I say less forcefully, I feel community in a list... in a
forum I feel that I have to hunt and peck for every bit of
information; I have to be on the ball checking them all the time; and
there are just too many of them to jump through the hoops (registry,
sign in, wade through topics, etc.). My lists are just THERE when I
open mail. And I see all and know all that happens in the list
without spending so much time wading through web page loads and next
page clicks.
