I'm of the view that if the party joins the action, it should ensure
that it provides guidance and leadership to not only the residents but
to the social movements involved, hence I support the need for a clear
strategy in anticipation of the reaction by those in authority, in
keeping the morale of these people high and united, in mobilising
various other sectors like workers, students, churches, etc in a
sustainable programme. Maybe this area could be used to test the party's
effectiveness in mass mobilisation work, its ability to lead the masses
and as a kind of a build up campaign in popularising the party as the
country is headed for the 2011 municipal elections. Let's recall there
were such actions where the party made some earth-breaking maneouvres
like in Bredell but the action floundered as there was no clear strategy
and tactics in place to sustain it. What lessons can be drawn from the
Bredell action? What I also think is important is to actually spell out
in advance what the party's objectives, short and long-term, are when it
participates in this action. I say this in order that the Zuma
government may not be able to react in a way that criminalises the PAC.

Dear Comrades,

Can we not use enermy langauage, land grabs, land invasions? Whose land?
Our land? We only invade it if it belongs to somebody else. This is our
land, whites took posession of our land and what it is happening in
Motsweding is reposession. Us calling it land invasion negates our claim
of ownership. Izwelethu!
