Once you you have the file in total recorder do the folowing:
1. open the file menu alt f
2. press a for save as
3. tab to change and enter
4. choose the format you wish then enter on ok
5. enter on the save button.

Hello Milton and list: The file in question is an MP3 file. My copy of Total Recorder is registered; all I need to understand is: how do I get to a file (that I didn't record, using "Total Recorder"..and how do I change the bit rate!
