Here's my

I have
8600 / 300 - 18& 10 GBHD - 512RAM
a whole pile (accumulated over time at reasonable
expense) of peripherals that would take a greater deal
of expense to be able to use with a G4.
I'm always tempted to go newer and "better?"
but really always come back to reality.
Why get rid of something that has served me so well
and continues to do so?
I installed a USB/Firewire card to be able to use
"newer" gadgets.
There will, for a long time to come, be good used
replacements at reasonable prices, for the PCI Macs
and peripherals.
Why upgrade!!!
Plus I don't want OSX and I don't want to replace the
software I'm happy with.
