.pps and .doc files are documents for Powerpoint and Word respectively. Word
files should be loadable by most recent Mac word processor (I can read
Office 97 files in Appleworks 5 fine). Most newer MacOSes also come with
MacLink which can translate documents. For .pps files you'll probably need
the Powerpoint viewer available from Microsoft, or Office 98/2001 (what are
the dates for Mac? I forget offhand as I don't use it :) )

As for .exe files, those are the actual program files. The only way to run
those on a Mac would be to get an emulator like VPC or Bochs. More than
likely, you don't want/need to run them anyway, as they're more than likely
viruses or stupid cards or something :) Especially vbs files...

Hope this helps :)
