         Many, if not all, of the system software disks that come with a 
particular Mac are specific for that Mac only.  It won't work with any other 
model.  It's Apple's way of insuring that folks don't use one disk for all 
their computers.  You need a retail version of system 9.  The retail version 
will work on any Mac capable of running 9.
